Your support helps transform lives.
Root’s 12-week, 200-hour program of direct kitchen and classroom training provides students with technical and experiential education in the culinary arts.  Equally important, Root’s program emphasizes five critical skills employers expect and which correlate with continued success: social and cognitive skills, self-agency, communication, and confidence.

Your donation makes a difference.

  • $250 underwrites transportation costs for a Program Partner to attend Root

  • $500 helps fund a workshop on nutrition or financial literacy

  • $750 covers the cost of teaching the ServSafe curriculum and administering the exams for an entire class

  • $1,000 funds transportation costs for a Root cohort to attend off-site culinary or life-skills workshops
(for example, going to the RMV to obtain a REAL ID, necessary to open a bank account)
