Nate - Manager at Brewbox, 2020-2023

If you stopped in for coffee at Brew Box in Salem, over the last few years, chances are you have met Nathan, a 2019 Root graduate. While at Root, Nate completed his externship shifts at Brew Box and was offered a job upon graduation. Starting as a barista and cook, he worked his way up to a shift supervisor and finally manager!

Nate credits Root with helping him build the skills he needed to help navigate this path, as well as Amy, the owner of Brew Box, who has created a positive work environment for her team and has become a mentor to him over the last three years. Nate says one of the best parts of working at Brew Box has been meeting the people from near and far who stop in for coffee, breakfast, or lunch (he also highly recommends their Adobo Chicken Sandwich if you haven’t tried it!).

After nearly three years, Nate was ready to move on and transitioned to a job at Salem Hospital. We will miss seeing him on our coffee runs and wish him great success in his next steps!
