DINE FOR GOOD!
2026 CELEBRITY CHEF SERIES
DINNER TO BENEFIT ROOT COMMUNITY CATERING
TUESDAY, AUGUST 18TH, 5:30-9:00 PM
BERNADETTE, SALEM, MA
Root is grateful for the tremendous network of chefs that support our mission and programs and partner with us for the Celebrity Chef series. These dinners are a delicious way to support Root’s programs and provide an opportunity for alumni to work alongside some of the most noted chefs on the North Shore.
This summer, we are eager to continue the series with a pop-up dinner at Bernadette in Salem, MA, with Chef Aaron Chambers, to raise funds for Root’s Community Catering program.
Enjoy a seasonal five-course dinner and thoughtfully paired wine or spirit-free beverages highlighting the local New England harvest, including an interactive cocktail hour with cooking demonstrations by Chef Aaron Chambers and some of the talented Root graduates on the Bernadette and Settler teams.
The evening will also feature Jason Weisman of Lucky Lips Oysters, who will be shucking oysters harvested from his family's farm in Loagy Bay, Wellfleet. Along the way, Jason will share the story of Lucky Lips and the dedication that goes into oyster farming - from working the tides to carefully cultivating oysters that reflect the unique character of Cape Cod's waters. It's a rare opportunity for guests to meet the farmer behind one of New England's exceptional oyster farms and experience that connection firsthand.
Tickets include full wine (or N/A) pairing, including a seasonal welcome cocktail and carefully selected pour for each course.
Did you know? Each week, Root’s alumni kitchen team prepares 800+ fresh, from-scratch meals for neighbors facing food insecurity. Demand continues to grow, and we need your support to continue to meet this urgent need. Additional donations to support Root's Community Catering Initiative are welcomed and encouraged.
Tickets are $350 each and include wine and non-alcoholic beverages (FMV $200).
Seating is limited and on a first-come/first-served basis. Click here to purchase tickets or make a donation.

A big thank you to Chef Aaron and Shanna Chambers for their continued partnership and support!
We hope to be cooking up one or two more this year, so check back here for updates on future events!
